Contemporary Medusa is a biannual journal, published regularly twice a year.
The journal considers providing a barrier-free access to full texts on the principle of providing a global knowledge exchange.
There are no fees for manuscripts processing and online publishing (for hard copies authors must contact the chief editor for payment and shipping).
The journal takes anonymity very seriously, protects secrecy and requires that the editorial team, the advisory board, the editor in chief and the publisher must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone else but the corresponding author (s).
Contemporary Medusa requires all its authors and editors to declare any conflict of interest that may subjectively influence any decision about a publication.
All persons involved in the act of publishing their works (including the editors, reviewers and the editor in chief) are not allowed to make individual decisions and should expect that their submissions will be anonymously evaluated and handled with the same rigour as anybody else. In other words, the editorial members can have their manuscripts published as long as the peer review is carried out without bias.
Should any plagiarism be identified in any submission, the manuscript will not be considered for publication (the anti-plagiarism policy applies even to editorial board members). The journal is strictly against full, partial and self-plagiarism and does not accept previously published manuscripts that contain new data. We hereby declare to authors that we are using a software tool for checking all submissions for similarity score (plagiarism reports are later sent out to authors as a proof of their acts).

Authors retain all rights, including intellectual property rights associated with any idea, process, methodology, theory and concept. We further support authors to reproduce and disseminate their research, however; all authors must submit their request to the journal’s editors and acknowledge Contemporary Medusa as an appropriate copyright holder in their future publications. All authors must ensure all necessary permissions have been obtained for reproducing any copyright material.
